Hot meals starting February 22nd 2010
All the Hot Meals will be cooked fresh daily at Northleach Primary school by Edwards and Ward kitchen staff and then transported to Sherborne within insulated containers. On arrival at school the food will then be transferred to a preheated serving trolley to ensure that all meals are served at the correct temperature. The food will be served by trained staff from Edwards and Ward. All children will eat together in their own classroom whether they are eating sandwiches or having a hot meal.
The hot meals will be carefully monitored by Edwards and Ward and Gloucestershire County Council to check that they achieve and maintain National Nutritional Standards and all Health and Safety regulations relating to serving hot food.
The weekly menu will be issued every Thursday and should be returned every Monday morning complete with your child’s choice of food for the week. If your child is absent from school but had chosen to have a hot meal, you will not be charged providing we are informed of their absence by 9.30am that day.
